Trail of Tears / Worcester v. Georgia
In the Worcester v. Georgia decision, the Supreme Court said that the government could NOT remove the Cherokee from their homeland in Georgia, but the President/Army did anyway, and forced them west across the Mississippi along the Trail of Tears, where hundreds of Native Americans died.
